Large antique French Kitchen Larder Unit Cupboard in raw wood

A fabulous A fabulous, extra large antique French kitchen larder cupboard / linen press, shipped over from Paris and refinished in a beautiful raw wood look. It is truly a bespoke, original piece of antique furniture, thought to be around 100 years old. It is thought to have been hand made on site, possibly bespoke for an estate once in France. It features lower cabinet, complete with a shelf. The left hand door shuts with the hook catch and the right hand door locks with the key provided. The upper cabinet houses two internal shelves, and two small drawers. The bottom of the top unit is ideal for hiding electrical items in a kitchen (kettle, toaster) similar to the newer designs of larder units from modern kitchen companies. A hole in the back of the piece can be cut by us for wiring if needed. The upper cabinet doors also lock with the key. The piece comes in three parts for transportation and the doors can be taken off simply by lifting off the hinges if needed. The piece features beautiful banding and detailing throughout, and has been waxed with clear wax for protection. Please be mindful around any water/ steam as it is made from a natural material and can show signs of wear if damaged by water. It is a very rustic, old piece with signs of wear and tear, however this does not affect its use at all and it is fully functional. It would be an excellent addition to a large kitchen, providing plenty of charm and character. It could also be used as a linen press, housing linens or even cutlery.
