Large French Louis Bombe Chest Marble Top

Large French Louis Bombe Chest Marble Top

£1,450.00Price
An exquisite, very large example of a French Louis style bombe chest with beautiful gold ormolu mounts and thick pull handles. A thick green marble rests on the top of it, in a curved shape to mirror the chest below in excellent condition. A small amount of veneer has chipped over time on the front of the piece (photographed) and there is a small amount of bubbling to the veneer on the other side (also photographed) but hardly noticeable overall. The age of the piece is thought to be mid 20th century, with dovetail joints on the drawers. The drawers all slide smoothly and are in lovely clean condition inside. It is a very well made, heavy piece and rare to acquire in such good condition.Measurements128 W at widest point of the drawers 125 W widest point of the marble 57.5 D93 HDeliveryDelivery usually takes around 1-2 weeks after purchase while the couriers arrange their routes. We make our pieces as durable as we can to resist little fingerprint and general day to day life in busy houses, however they are painted items and not indestructible therefore we advise the following:to be careful when handling and to always use coasters for drinksclean with mild soap and a damp cloth and not to use any polishbe mindful if placing in direct sunlight as this can cause fadingbe cautious with perfumed diffusers and alcohol as this can dissolve the paintEvery item comes with an aftercare kit including the paint + varnish used, a brush and advice.I mainly use Fusion Mineral Paint which takes 28 days to cure fully; in this time please be cautious and handle very carefully.Antique & vintageWe hand select the prettiest vintage finds, sourcing them from as far as France and the rest of the UK before shipping them to us for their transformation. We are extremely selective in this process and will only choose to work on pieces that don’t need major repairs and are already in excellent condition to ensure we provide the best pieces! In the case that there is an antique piece too good to pass on, we will always photograph these knocks and bumps as best as possible, but if you have any queries please contact us.The interior of these pieces all get cleaned and either waxed or oiled to make them shine again! I recommend using tumble drier sheets in the drawers/cupboards to keep them smelling fresh for longer.ReturnsWe hope that you love your piece as much as we do, but in the case that it wasn’t what you were looking for, you can return your item in its original condition within 14 days at your own expense of returning. We do advise to double check measurements along with door frames and ceiling heights before you purchase.
