The restoration process has been carried out to the highest standard. The entire sideboard was expertly sanded and soda blasted back to its raw wood, carefully removing decades of old finishes while preserving every intricate carved detail. Once the natural beauty of the timber was revealed, a subtle white wash was applied to enhance the wood grain and create a soft, contemporary finish.
To ensure lasting durability, the piece was then sealed with two coats of premium water-based polyurethane varnish, providing excellent protection against everyday wear while maintaining the natural appearance and texture of the wood.
 
Completing the transformation is a stunning quartz worktop, replacing the original top with a luxurious and highly practical surface. The quartz not only elevates the aesthetic of the piece but also offers exceptional durability, making it perfectly suited to modern family life. This piece has no keys and the doors are all held closed with carefully placed magnets. Doors are opened using the handles and click perfectly into place when closed.
