A stunning example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, this beautifully restored solid oak sideboard, dating from approximately 1920–1935, has been thoughtfully transformed to suit modern interiors while preserving its original character and timeless appeal.

Featuring bold geometric panelling, beautifully carved decorative motifs, and elegant original brass handles, this substantial sideboard offers generous storage alongside exceptional craftsmanship. Its clean lines and quality construction make it a versatile statement piece for both traditional and contemporary homes.
The restoration has been completed to an exceptional standard. The entire piece was expertly sanded and soda blasted back to its raw wood, carefully stripping away decades of old finish while preserving every intricate carving and crisp detail. A subtle white wash was then applied to enhance the natural beauty and grain of the oak, creating a soft, contemporary finish that complements today’s interiors.
To ensure long-lasting durability, the sideboard was finished with two coats of premium water-based polyurethane varnish, providing a tough, protective finish while maintaining the natural look and feel of the timber.
The transformation is completed with a luxurious quartz worktop, replacing the original top to provide a practical, highly durable surface that elevates the piece for everyday modern living. The result is a perfect balance of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Please note that the original keys are no longer present. To retain the clean appearance and functionality of the piece, the cupboard doors have been professionally fitted with carefully concealed magnetic catches, allowing them to open and close securely with ease while maintaining the original aesthetic. There is an ink stain inside one of the drawers. Please see pictures.
