Every stage of the restoration has been carried out with exceptional care and attention to detail. The entire sideboard was expertly sanded and soda blasted back to its raw wood, carefully removing decades of old finish while preserving the crisp panel work and original detailing. A subtle white wash was then applied to enhance the natural beauty and grain of the oak, creating a light, modern aesthetic without losing the warmth and character of the timber.
 
 
To ensure the finish stands the test of time, the piece has been protected with two coats of premium water-based polyurethane varnish, providing excellent durability while allowing the natural texture of the wood to shine through.
Completing the transformation is a stunning quartz worktop, replacing the original top with a luxurious and highly practical surface. The quartz not only adds a contemporary touch but also offers outstanding durability, making this sideboard perfectly suited to everyday family life while retaining all the charm and craftsmanship of its original period.
 
 
The original working keys are included, allowing the cupboard doors to lock as they were originally intended, preserving the authenticity and functionality of this beautiful antique piece.
